Born in 1996—the same year the original Twister was released—Trenten has always had a strong passion for severe weather. From as early as first grade, he was captivated by the film Twister. He would sit down, watch it in its entirety, rewind the VHS tape, and then eagerly press play to watch it all over again.
As Trenten grew older and was able to ride a bike, he could often be found pedaling around his community whenever storm clouds gathered on the horizon. Once he earned his driver's license, his storm chasing expanded further, and he found himself driving long distances to pursue severe weather.
The year 2020 marked significant personal growth for Trenten. While the pandemic slowed public events, it gave him more time to explore the vast landscapes of Alberta and Saskatchewan. Along the way, he developed a passion for photography, capturing stunning images of Canada’s most dramatic storms and breathtaking scenery.
In 2024, Trenten took another major step in his storm-chasing journey by joining The EH Team Chasers, a group of Canadian storm enthusiasts. This partnership has broadened his understanding of storm forecasting and enhanced his excitement for the chase. Being part of a team has given him the opportunity to collaborate on weather predictions, share target areas for storm chasing, and witness some of the most intense storms to hit the region in recent years.
